Justin Tung

A NYU business alumni, Justin Tung is a marketing technology executive whose interests range from entertainment and sports marketing, to apparel and merchandizing. He became interested in all aspects of marketing, entertainment, film and sports at an early age and has worked consistently in those fields since his teenage years, growing a robust career from his lifelong passions. The marketing and creative production aspects in film, and the programming side of small screen productions, are of particular interest to him.

Justin has extensive experience in the athletic apparel industry, beginning with positions at KEEN Footwear (Portland) and Columbia Sportswear (Seoul), conducting market research and analytics. He became involved in the sustainable fashion movement as an employee at Tanner Goods (Portland), where he investigated new initiatives regarding leather sustainability and refined the company’s online presence to emphasize its commitment to environmentally conscious sourcing. Justin’s experience as a retail associate at New Balance (Boston and London) and the NBA Store (New York City) gave him knowledge of the sports marketing industry from a retail sales perspective.

Justin’s career path shifted to include entertainment marketing beginning in 2018 with his position at Sacks and Co., a New York City-based public relations, marketing, management and consulting firm whose clients include musicians, filmmakers, film producers, theater companies and arts presenters. Over the course of his internship, he conducted hundreds of cold calls to media distribution outlets and television and radio networks. He also generated press releases that were dispatched to The New York Times and New York Post to promote clients’ upcoming tours. In 2019, he interned at MTV, utilizing his social media prowess to promote MTV and MTV1 programs via social media campaigns and QR codes.
